Each player may give out a total of commends per week. Commends are displayed on the players profile. A chat notification will be sent to the player commended, along with the commending players name. Commends can be given on the Endgame screen after a match to players on either side. The quick cast is a feature in the video game Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) that allows players to activate abilities or items more quickly.
Dota 2 no quickcast Offline#
When you've got your answer, practice it, even offline in an empty lobby or against bots. Commends are marks of positive feedback that players can give to each other. Normal for all self-castable abilities may not make sense for you in all cases, so if it's a staple hero of yours, test it out to see what you like. I have a few item slot bindings on each option, so I'll put Eul's or Force in a normal slot, while blink is always a quickcast slot (not that self cast blink isn't useful, I would just argue that it is rarely useful).įinally, always test these things to figure out what you like. I like normal cast on Light Strike Array and Sleight of Fist, for instance, so I can see the real bounds of the aoe and optimize my placement.
Other good ones are aoe's you want to place very carefully.
Until we get a way to assign quickcast/normal cast to individual abilities (and then items too) my best advice is to rebind your stuff after you pick your hero (or forget to do it, die in a teamfight as a result and then go do it, never happens to me though).įor any important abilities I will be self-casting, I switch that hotkey to normal cast once I've picked the hero.
